Emna Bakilah

Emna is a PGY-5 general surgery resident at Penn. She grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia. She graduated with a BS from Drexel University and an MD from Drexel University College of Medicine. While in medical school, she focused her efforts on community outreach to serve the immigrant and refugee populations in Philadelphia. To continue to serve these communities she is now pursuing a Masters in Health Policy Research from the University of Pennsylvania and working on clinical outcomes research in the field of surgical health equity.
